1. What Karibu Trove is

Karibu Trove is a free membership that connects guests with independently run apartments in Nairobi. Each apartment has its own host. Karibu Trove selects the apartments on the Curated list and runs the membership, but it does not own or manage the apartments, and your stay is arranged with the host through us.

2. Joining

• Membership is free and open to anyone aged 18 or over.
• One membership per person. Please give us accurate contact details.

3. The welcome credit

• New members receive a $20 credit, limited to one per person (we match on WhatsApp number and email) and offered to the first 200 members.
• It applies to your first direct stay of 3 or more nights at a Collection apartment, booked through Karibu Trove.
• It expires 12 months after you join.
• It has no cash value, can't be transferred, and can't be combined with other promotions unless we say so.
• It is never conditional on writing a review anywhere.

4. Points

• You earn points on direct stays booked through Karibu Trove: 5 points per $1 at Welcome, 6 at Regular and 7 at Elite.
• You can also earn points for referring a friend after their first completed stay, for a genuine stay video that we review and approve, and for completing your travel profile.
• 100 points are worth $1 toward stays. Other rewards such as airport pickup, taxi vouchers and partner vouchers are redeemed at the point values shown when you redeem.
• Points expire after 18 months without any earning or redemption activity.
• Points are not cash, can't be transferred, and don't apply to stays booked through other platforms.
• Tiers: Welcome on joining, Regular after one completed stay, and Elite after three stays within 12 months.

5. Booking a stay

• Sending a request doesn't guarantee a booking. A stay is confirmed when we confirm availability with the host and you have paid.
• We show you the full price, any credit or points applied, and the apartment's cancellation terms before you pay.
• Prices on the website are indicative until confirmed for your dates.

6. Fair use

We may cancel credit or points obtained through duplicate accounts, false information or misuse of the program.

7. Changes

We may change or end the program, including the credit and points rates, by posting the change on this page. Changes don't reduce points you've already earned, and a change to the points or credit offer applies only to activity after the date it is posted.
